Volunteers Sought For Microsuction Training Day In Ealing, Weds 4th October 2017

We will be running a training day for one of our part-qualified trainees this coming Wednesday 4th October 2017 at our Ealing clinic. She has completed her microsuction training and simply needs to perform the required number of microsuction procedures under the supervision of a UKAS IQIPS accredited microsuction trainer.

As a big thank you to our existing customers, we are offering 40% off our standard microsuction prices when booked online, so instead of £70 for two ears, it will be £42 for two ears.

So your mind is put at rest, your safety is our top priority at all times. You ear wax removal procedure will be supervised at all times by an accredited microsuction trainer and assessor, and if our trainee is unable to complete the procedure, then our trainer will assess whether the procedure can be safely completed and then finish removing the ear wax as long as it is safe to do so.

We ask that our volunteers fulfill the following criteria:

You have confirmed ear wax blockage in at least one ear
You have no previous or current history of eardrum perforation, dizziness, ear infection or pain
You will apply two squirts of Earol twice a day to each blocked ear for at least 1 day prior to the appointment

Our West London micro suction clinic is a few minutes walk from West Ealing station in W13 and is also quite close to Ealing Broadway in W5.

We use operating microscopes that can either be large floor standing units, or can be incorporated into glasses (known as operating loupes) to discover your earwax location within the ear. Once we have located the exact position of the earwax, we then use a medical suction pump that is attached to a tube and a 2 millimetre suction wand which is used to suction the wax from your ear. For clearing a blocked ear, clearing ear wax, reducing or removing pain from your ears, we believe that this is the quickest and safest method for removing impacted ear wax.

Microsuction should only be performed by someone with a good knowledge of the anatomy of the ear and who has been trained in how to use the equipment safely to ensure a speedy and pain free treatment.

That is why we ensure that our Audiologists and Specialist Nurses have had further training in the process. We do not spray water into the ear so our process is safe to use even after ear surgery or when the eardrum has been damaged or perforated.

The Microsuction Practitioner uses a powerful operating microscope and a bright light source, so he or she can see exactly what is happening inside your ear, so the procedure is the safest of all.

Our Private Ear Syringing London Uses The Latest Technology

When patients come to one of our five London clinics for our private ear syringing London and they have been examined, we determine the best way to clear ear wax using the latest technology for painless and speedy remedies to blocked ears.

Past Methods of removing wax blockage

In the past, many private ear syringing London clinics have used a meal ear syringe which was loaded with warm water, and the metal tip was placed into the ear canal. The water was then squirted into the ear canal and water was collected by using a kidney dish held under the ear, flushing out the blocked ear wax in the process. The operator would use his or her judgement as to how forcefully to syringe the water. Unfortunately this process can't shift hard wax, so the wax in the ears was softened for a period of two weeks using ear drops.

There are many disadvantages using old methods of ear syringing, and these can result in the ear wax being pushed further into the ear if the angle of the water jet is not right; the water syringe may cause tinnitus; may perforate the eardrum; could result in causing water, bacteria, wax and dead skin cells to be flushed past the eardrum into the middle ear, potentially causing a painful infection; not recommended following ear surgery; should not be performed when the ear drum has previously been perforated due to the risk of re-perforation. We Believe The Best Way To Clear Ear Wax Is Microsuction

At our five private ear syringing London clinics, lead by head Audiologist Jason Levy, we prefer to use the latest advances in technological progress via microsuction processes. That is, we train our team to use portable or static suction pumps and operating microscopes that can be floor standing or incorporated into glasses ( surgical loupes ).

Using Suction Pumps and Surgical Loupes

The method of removal used is via a medical suction pump (a very fine sterile probe) attached to a tube and a 2 millimetre suction wand used to draw the wax from your ear and to check the health of your ear using a video otoscope. The process requires a detailed knowledge of the anatomy of the ear, and training on how to safely use the equipment requiring operation by an ENT surgeon, Audiologist or Nurse who has received additional training.

Safe and Infection Free

Because microsuction does not spray water into the ear
canal it is a safe method to use for the treatment of a wax blockage within the ear even if used after ear surgery or if there has been an eardrum perforation.

Is Micro Suction The Best Instant Wax Removal Service?

Microsuction is our preferred method of instant wax removal. Why? Because the Microsuction practitioner uses a powerful microscope and bright light source, or alternatively a special ear endoscope (a slim tube with a built in camera lens and fibre optic light source) which is carefully and painlessly placed within your ear so that they are able to see a clear view of your canal and determine the extent of and exact location of your earwax.
