What if there's no ear wax?

The majority of people who book an appointment with us have already been to see their GP or Practice Nurse and have a confirmed ear wax blockage. We are happy to see patients who self-refer who feel that their ear is blocked.

If there turns out to be no wax, we are in a very good position to find out why your ear feels blocked, since as an Audiologist-led organisation we specialise in hearing loss and the causes of hearing loss, so your appointment won't be wasted. We will either test your hearing or give you ear care advice. There are many causes of a blocked ear sensation, with just one of them being ear wax!
